Sorry if I've bored you with photo overload by now but this is the third and final Venice post!
We woke up at the early hour of 6am on the final day so we could get down to Rialto and see the Fish Market. I'm not a big fan of fish myself, especially seeing them still half alive but it was quite beautiful the array of colours and everything was so fresh! We bought some sun-dried tomatoes and strawberries which we polished off on the walk back to the hotel. The Canal was so picturesque at that time of the morning with very little tourists in sight and just the locals setting up for the day ahead.
I took a photo of my outfits palette before we packed our suitcases, and did some last minute sight-seeing of the famous St Pauls Cathedral, aswell as popping in h&m (I cant resist) and they had those mirrors that make you look flawless (yeah right!).
We grabbed some lunch before the flight and I chucked on some heels to make the most of the stunning weather and 'outfit post'-worthy backdrop! How often are you in Venice right?!
I just want to say a BIG thank you to everyone that recommended places for me to visit/try on my trip especially those of you who took your time to email me in detail, it was so kind of you all. I had an amazing time and hopefully I shared the experience here with you
What I wore: Topshop Jumper, Topman Chinos, Topshop Vest, Converse/Primark heels, h&m choker
I haven't had time for photos today but I've been meaning to show you my most recent lookbook anyway so here's a video of some of this Springs Trends. For more check out my Youtube Channel 'veeveevogue' here.
I Thought todays Sunday Diary Day would be the perfect opportunity to let you guys know where I've been and why.. posts have been lacking for the past month because since I got back from Venice it has been hectic at uni with it being my final year and my coursework deadline rapidly approaching! I have actually been creating content still here and there (when I actually venture out away from my pjs and hair in a bun look) that I've been meaning to post but as you can see I'm still catching up with Venice, but this does mean I have enough things to keep you entertained until my final projects are done and dusted and I'm a free woman unitl the 9-5 starts in July wooo!
I'm home for Easter atm, which has been nice to see friends and catch up. Not sure if you'd be interested in me posting photos from nights out on here? (searching for content if you cant tell) but I guess I should probably check that with them too first.
My week ahead consists of desperately waiting for my student loan to come in so I can get my life back, motivating myself to do some more uni work, and then a night out on Thursday with said loan money. I'm currently sleeping over at my cousins flat watching Big Daddy with her two year old son Vinnie, he's the cutest! Might try and get a snap of him strutting around in mummies heels if he demonstrates again haha.
For day 2 having spoken to the restaurant owner the night before we decided we wanted to explore further afield than just the area surrounding our hotel so we crossed the 'Ponte degli Scalzi' to the area of Santa Croce, and I got some beautiful photos of the grand canal. On the way to the shore I snapped a photo of a man playing the violin. Try to picture adding a theme tune to the serenity of the morning, with the sun shining through, so much more romantic than your casual london busker (even though I was accompanied by my mum).
After taking in the scenery we stopped off at a cafe in 'Sotoportego Del Casin Dei Nobili' Square which to my delight served English Tea! I know being in Italy we should try all things Italian (including men whey!) but I can't go a morning without my fix of a good cuppa. We window shopped some more and I found a great shop that sold retro band memorabillia, so I bought a Pink Floyd and The Who badges for my leather jacket. Eventually we came across a bar for lunch that had real character about it, and cocktails! I love mojitos so I was more than happy.
We ended up walking so far we were back up on the map by the Rialto Bridge. We explored all the shops which are a lot more commercial in that area, there were a few market stalls and then some highstreet chains on the other side of the bridge with plenty of tourist souvenir shops inbetween. The most amazing part though was this seagull landing next to us as we were taking photos, he difinitely wasnt camera shy and posed for everyones photos for a good 10 mins before getting bored!
That night we ate quite late after being so tired from all-day walking. Luckily there was a restaurant right next to our hotel which stayed open until midnight. I ordered meatballs and spagetti and I finally got to try a Bellini!
SORRY THIS POST HAS BEEN LONG AWAITED, ITS BEEN A HECTIC MONTH AT UNI
